Erasmus + – Youth Exchange ACTIVE YOUTH-through democratic values

Between 18th -24th of June 2017 in the Baile Herculane, Romania youth exchange was organized within the ACTIVE YOUTH – through democratic values project, funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus Plus program.

The project aimed at developing democratic competences through 5 thematic sessions of utmost importance among young people in Europe: human rights, active citizenship, gender equality, combating hate speech and virtual aggression. These working sessions consisted of teamwork, debate, world cafe, and were conducted through non-formal learning methods.

This project includes 8 young people from Drobeta Turnu Severin, Romania and 24 young people aged between 16 and 20 from Bulgaria, Spain and Portugal. For 5 days, young people have developed intercultural skills, shared their traditions and habits by organizing an intercultural evening, practicing English and spending quality time together.
